THE MUSIC

JEFF MCGAW - SOLO

I always loved the idea of playing music for my friends, but as a fresh college graduate in 1986 the only instrument I owned was a slide trombone - not exactly the thing you break out around the campfire.

In the spring of 1987, I traded that old trombone for a Yamaha six-string. Today, a few guitars, countless campfires, and a few hundred gigs later I still love singing, and I would love to sing for you.

My musical influences range from John Prine, Jimmy Buffet and Neil Young to Jason Isbell, Trampled by Turtles, and Tyler Childers – and a whole lot of music in between.

If your venue schedules live music, or if you would like to add acoustic entertainment to your next backyard barbecue, work event, or special family occasion, I would love to hear from you.

INTENTIONAL WALK

My old baseball buddy, Joe Simonetti, a retired Army veteran, called me in July 2019 and said he wanted to play in a band, which he hadn't done since high school. Each week we'd sit in his garage with a cold beer and work on old songs. In a few months, we had a whole set list and decided to take the act on the road. To honor our baseball roots, we called ourselves, “Intentional Walk.”

Since then, longtime area musicians Bob Bechtel (bass, mandolin, vocals) and Max Naylor (lead guitar) joined the band. In 2023, we were nominated for a Central Pennsylvania Music Award for one of our original songs.

We swerve about various musical lanes from classic rock and modern folk to country and bluegrass. We have a growing list of originals too. We would love to play for you, so give us a call or email.
